Northwestern's Williams commits to CSS, Superior's Benson to Superior City FC II
Two local athletes are staying in the northland.
Northwestern football’s Gavin Williams will cross the border to be a St. Scholastica Saint this fall. A quarterback, Williams was hurt this past season but still threw for just under 300 yards in three games.
On the soccer side, Eli Benson of Superior is set to join Superior City FC II. Benson scored four goals and tallied five assists with Spartan boys soccer this past season.
