Northlanders shine in prep volleyball All-Star game

The top servers, setters, and spikers from Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin were honored Wednesday night in the Essentia Health high school All-Star girl’s volleyball game at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
The “epic border battle” featured local stars from Northwestern, Superior, and Ashland in Wisconsin, and Duluth East, Duluth Denfeld, Esko, Proctor, Cloquet, and Hermantown in Minnesota.
Kern and Kompany named Grace Moravchik from Ashland the All-Star game MVP.
It served as a way to honor and celebrate student-athletes at the end of the season.
