Both the No. 2 College of St. Scholastica (CSS) and University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) men’s hockey teams are bound for the Superior Showdown championship game after earning round one wins at Wessman Arena Friday.

CSS defeated Dubuque 5-2 in the early game. Filimon Ledenkov recorded two goals and one assist while Arkhip Ledenkov added one goal and two assists. The Saints stay perfect improving to 10-0 on the season.

UWS held off Marian 2-1 in the late game. Frank Dovorany and Jordan Guiney both scored for the Yellowjackets in the first period. UWS improves to 8-6.

The Yellowjackets and Saints will now clash in the Superior Showdown championship Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Wessman Arena.
