NCHC announces new playoff structure

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey conference, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC), has released their new playoff structure for 2025. With the addition of Arizona State University in two seasons the conference will boast nine teams.

All nine squads will qualify for the NCHC Tournament, with the eighth and ninth seeds facing off in a play-in game prior to the quarterfinals.

St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center remains the host site of the postseason tournament.
