Minnesota Wild recall former Bulldog Nick Swaney from AHL’s Iowa Wild

Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) alternate captain Nick Swaney has been recalled by the Minnesota Wild from the AHL’s Iowa Wild. Former Minnesota Gopher Sammy Walker was recalled from Iowa Wednesday.
Swaney will sport number 72 with the Wild. Drafted in 2017 he has yet to make his NHL debut. In 46 games with Iowa this season the 25-year-old has tallied 16 goals and 12 assists.
The forward skated four seasons at UMD from 2017-2021 recording 46 goals and 55 assists for 101 points while earning two NCAA national titles.
The Wild close out their regular season Thursday visiting the Nashville Predators.
