Minnesota North College-Itasca to add women’s wrestling

On Monday Minnesota North College’s Itasca campus announced they will be launching a women’s wrestling program.
The inaugural season will be in the fall of 2024.
The brand new program is thanks to a ‘NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant’. The $2,000 grant is provided to instiutions looking to expand athletic opportunities. Funds will go towards equipment, facility upgrades, recuiting efforts, and hiring a coaching staff.
