On Saturday Grandma’s Marathon’s 16th annual Minnesota Mile returned to Duluth.

The 5,280 foot journey around Duluth’s Enger Park on Skyline Parkway saw 422 finishers.

Cameron Socke of Mountain Iron finished first in 04:29 for the fastest time since 2018.

Duluth’s Hannah Torvi won the women’s race in 05:47.

“The mile is so democratic, you can come out here and try to run five minutes you can come out here and try to run 12 minutes. It’s not the marathon, it’s not even the 5k or anything like that. It gets a lot of people into running,” said marketing and PR Director Zach Schneider.

Next up for grandma’s races will be the North End Nightmare 5k, October 22nd.
