Late goal downs UMD men’s hockey against #19 St. Cloud State

The UMD men’s hockey team traveled to St. Cloud State as an unranked hockey team, trying to get their momentum back.

Unfortunately for them, they wouldn’t help their case, falling 2-1 to St. Cloud State after allowing a late goal.

The Bulldogs took advantage of a Huskies 5 minute major penalty, as Matthew Perkins net the equalizer in the third period.

However, with just under three minutes left in the contest, Huskies Joe Molenaar beat Matthew Thiessen and scored what would be the game winning goal.

The Bulldogs haven’t won since October 21st, and look to finally break that streak on Saturday against the Huskies at 6 p.m. in St. Cloud.
