Huskies Hallquist named Northwoods League Player of the Year

On Friday the Northwoods League announced their 2023 postseason All-star Team, with Duluth Huskie’s very own Michael Hallquist being named the league’s Most Valuable Player.

The Huskies shortstop is currently hitting at a .353 batting average with a total of 13 home runs. He also has registered three triples, 18 doubles, and 59 RBIs.

Hallquist is among 30 players that were selected in the NWL’s postseason all-star team along with Outfielder Joshua Duarte and designated hitter Brandon Compton.

The Duluth Huskies have two games remaining in the regular season including Friday’s match-up against the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
