Hilltoppers win 8th straight, Grand Rapids/Greenway defeats Mirage on the road

Duluth Marshall girl’s hockey beats Northern Stars in exciting matchup

The Duluth Marshall girl's hockey team put in the work on the offensive end, beating the Northern Stars 5-2.

The Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers earned their 8th win in a row with a 5-2 victory of the Duluth Northern Stars. While the Northern stars struck first, it was the Hilltoppers who went on a scoring spree, good enough to almost triple the Northern Stars goal total.

Grand Rapids/Greenway steals game against Mirage on the road

After finding themselves down 1-0 in the first period, the Grand Rapids/Greenway girl's hockey team fought back to a 2-1 win.

In Hermantown, the Grand Rapids/Greenway Lightning stunned the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage, winning 2-1. Similar to the Hilltoppers, the Lightning found themselves down early but rallied to take the lead and eventually win, winning their 6th straight.

Grand Rapids/Greenway will next play at Duluth Marshall on Tuesday, a battle of the winning streaks. Proctor/Hermantown will try to bounce back against Andover on Friday while the Northern Stars next play Cloquet-Esko-Carlton on Tuesday.
