Grand Rapids volleyball earns shutout win in Class AAA state quarterfinals

Making back-to-back state tournament appearances the No. 4 Grand Rapids volleyball team swept No. 5 Mahtomedi 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-19) in the Class AAA quarterfinals Wednesday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The Thunderhawks’ Lindsey Racine tallied her 1,000th career dig during the win.

Grand Rapids advances to face No. 1 Marshall in the semifinals Friday at 9 a.m. Click here for the full bracket.
