Former UMD star, Blues’ Scott Perunovich to undergo shoulder surgery

Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey star, and 2020 Hobey Baker Award winner, Scott Perunovich is undergoing shoulder surgery this Thursday.

The defenseman fractured his left shoulder during the St. Louis Blues’ 4-1 preseason win in Chicago last Tuesday. September 27.

The Hibbing native will be out for at least six months.

The Blues stated this is unrelated to a shoulder tear that kept him sidelined for the 2020-2021 season.
