On the ice, five University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey players earned their sport on the All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) teams.

This is the sixth time in program history that five different players have landed on the annual league teams.

A three-time All-WCHA First Team selection, senior defenseman Ashton Bell becomes the program’s first-ever three-time defenseman ever to lock down that award.

Fifth-year goalie Emma Soderberg made the first team as she joins Riitta Schaublin as the only goaltender in program history to glove two All-WCHA First Team accolades.

Senior center Gabbie Hughes made the second team, as she has nabbed an All-WCHA honor every year she has skated for the Bulldogs.

Graduate senior defenseman Maggie Flaherty landed on the third team, making her first All-WCHA squad since being named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team in 2018-19.

Freshman goaltender Hailey MacLeod made the All-Rookie team, as she is capping off a strong rookie season after being both the November WCHA Rookie of the Month and WCHA Rookie of the Week on Jan. 16.
