Emily Carpenter named UWS women’s basketball head coach

Following a national search the University of Wisconsin-Superior women’s basketball team announced that they are sticking with their roots and have hired alumni Emily Carpenter as head women’s basketball coach.

Carpenter served as the interim head coach of the Yellowjackets last season, leading the ladies to a 10-14 overall record, four wins and five fewer losses from the prior year.

She also help the team make the post-season tournament and finish in third place in the conference.
