Duluth native, Utah’s Gianna Kneepkens up for prestigious DI women’s basketball honor

Duluth Marshall alum, Minnesota girl’s basketball’s all-time leader in scoring, Gianna Kneekpens is still turning heads on the college level.

Now in her sophomore year at the University of Utah, she is one of 20 players named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List. In its sixth year of establishment, the award honors the top small forward in women’s Division I basketball.

Last season, Kneekpens earned five Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors, averaging over 11 points and four rebounds a game.
