The Duluth FC soccer team opened training on Monday, also hosting a formal signing day where they inked key components to their roster.

Bringing back four year player and also team captain, defender Jake Starling.

Along with new comers from all over, looking to recapture their first regional title since 2018.

“It didn’t feel like a first day to me. You know, I feel like we’re a few weeks in just by the way we gelled. The ball was moving well but I mean, I would say the quality across the board is is very good this year,” said Starling.

“I think it helps with the number of returners that we have to have kind of some consistency year over year. Just continuly having people that have been around, that played in the league. I also think the newcomers will add a lot to the squad as well,” said head coach Sean Morgan.

The season begins this this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. on the road against the Minnesota Twinstars FC.
