The Duluth East boy’s hockey skated into Mars Arena on Thursday in search of a crosstown rivalry win over Duluth Marshall. These two teams haven’t played each other since the 2020-2021 season.

East’s Grant Winkler ripped the Greyhound’s first goal of the night and notched another in the first period. Five other Greyhounds netted goals in their 7-0 win over the Hilltoppers.

With the win, the Greyhounds improve their overall record to 4-5 and will look to go 5-5 when they hit the ice at home on Friday, December 30th against Blaine. Puck drops at 3 p.m.

Duluth Marshall (1-8) will skate on the ice again Tuesday, December 30th at noon against Bagley/Fosston at home.
