Duluth East, Ashland boy’s hockey pick up wins Monday

The Duluth East boy’s hockey team extended their win streak to seven games on Monday beating Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 6-4.

Wyatt Peterson opened the scoring for Duluth East, while Grant Winkler extended the lead to 2-0.

A minute after the Greyhounds took a two goal lead Lumberjacks Noah Knutson cut the lead in half.

Down in Moose Lake the Rebels were looking for two wins in their last three games hosting Ashland.

The Oredockers went on to win 7-1, improving to 12-8 on the season.

Ty O’Bey scored Ashland’s third goal of the game in the second period.
