The Arena League announces Brent LaBrie as Duluth owner, team name voting underway
In April, The Arena League announced Duluth as one of four teams for their inaugural season in 2024.
On Thursday, at the Social House in Canal Park, the first owner of the team was introduced as Wisconsin’s Brent LaBrie. He’s the leader of Kramer Sports and Entertainment. A lover of the Twin Ports and football LaBrie is excited about the club’s future.
“Duluth needs football, more than what we have already. We got the college stuff, but having a professional football team here is going to be huge. I was sold on it the minute I walked into the DECC, stood on the field there, looked around and said I can’t wait for the entertainment factor.”
They still need help picking a team name. The four options for city names are Twin Ports, Minnesota, Lake Superior, or Duluth. The team name choices are the Lakers, Harbor Monsters, Sasquatch, or Norsemen.
You can cast your vote on thearenaleague.football/duluth. The final choice will be announced in late August.
