On Thursday, at the Social House in Canal Park, the first owner of the team was introduced as Wisconsin’s Brent LaBrie. He’s the leader of Kramer Sports and Entertainment. A lover of the Twin Ports and football LaBrie is excited about the club’s future.

“Duluth needs football, more than what we have already. We got the college stuff, but having a professional football team here is going to be huge. I was sold on it the minute I walked into the DECC, stood on the field there, looked around and said I can’t wait for the entertainment factor.”

They still need help picking a team name. The four options for city names are Twin Ports, Minnesota, Lake Superior, or Duluth. The team name choices are the Lakers, Harbor Monsters, Sasquatch, or Norsemen.
