CSS men’s hockey uses two third period goals to remain undefeated
Two timely third period goals helped the College of Saint Scholastica men’s hockey team push past Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday night, 4-3.
Nathan Adrian scored just 1:12 into the game, opening the scoring for the Saints, however, they wouldn’t find the back of the net again until the second period, when Tristan Shewchuk scored his third of the season.
Going into the third period, the Saints were up 2-1, but Gustavus Adolphus came with a response, tying the game at 2-2.
Brodie Girod and Carsen Richels scored within a minute of each other in the third period to regain the lead and give the Saints insurance.
The 5-0-0 Saints will take on St. John’s on Thursday.
