CSS men’s and women’s basketball fall to Carleton College at home

It was senior night for the College of St. Scholastic men’s basketball team as they went searching for a win to snap a two-game losing streak, welcoming in the Knights of Carleton College for a Saturday afternoon showdown.

The Knights get on the board first with a three by Jeremy Beckler, and the Saints answered back with a three-pointer by Yohanes Addiss Gebeyehu. The Saints trailed the Knights by six points at the end of the first half but couldn’t find a way to come from behind, they fell 70-90.

Nick Carlson and Noah Winesett led the team with 14 points each. They end their regular season with a record of (7-18).

The Saint’s will be back on the court as a part of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 21st. Their opponent and game time and location have not been released yet.

The women Saints also celebrated senior day while hosting the lady Knights of Carleton College.
The game was a close and tight game at times with several tied moments and it came down to the wire, but in the end, the Saints couldn’t top the Knights as they fell in a close one 49-51.

Lexi Imdieke led the Saints with 18 points and Eve Turner led the team in rebounds with 16.

The Saint’s will be back on the court as a part of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 21st. Their opponent, game time, and location hasn’t been released yet.
