Bulldog women’s basketball drops back-and-forth NSIC semifinal against UMary

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team fell in a close Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) semifinal match with the University of Mary 83-75 Monday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The sixth seeded Bulldogs would trail the second seeded Marauders by just five at halftime 43-38. UMD would manage to take the lead in the third, however UMary would pull out the win behind Lexie Schneider’s game-leading 31 points.

Taytum Rhoades led UMD with 25 points, while Madelyn Granica added 15 points and seven rebounds.
