Last year the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team picked up two postseason wins at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis to earn back-to-back NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four berths.

This year their Regional Tournament road once again ends at Ridder. UMD needs two wins to punch their ticket back to Duluth, the host of this year’s Frozen Four.

“We know this arena really well since we’ve been there multiple times,” fifth year forward Kylie Hanley said. “We know the hotel. We know everything about the area, so I think our warm-up spot will be the same as well. Going into it, everything will be the same and having that routine will really help us prepare.”

Seventh seeded UMD (25-9-3) first drops the puck Thursday against ninth seeded Clarkson (29-10-2) at 6 p.m. If UMD wins they battle the second seeded Minnesota Gophers (29-5-3) for the regional title Saturday.

The Frozen Four is March 17-19 at AMSOIL Arena. For the bracket, Click Here.
