#7 ranked UMD women’s hockey takes down Bemidji State.

In their first game back at AMSOIL Arena since November 25th, the #7 UMD women’s hockey team picked up where they left off, as they beat Bemidji State 2-0.

The Bulldogs were on the board first, as Jenna Lawry’s shot ricocheted off the skate of Grace Sadura and to the back of the net, giving UMD a 1-0 advantage in the first period.

There wasn’t much from either team on the offensive end, but Hailey MacLeod made sure the Bulldogs did their job on defense, as she pitched her third shutout of the year and sixth overall of the season.

While the game looked like it would end in a 1-0 win, the Bulldogs got extra insurance with under a minute left, as Hanna Baskin scored an empty netter.

The Bulldogs are back in action against the Beavers at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
