Moose Lake native Sam Coil wins Big Ten title for Badgers
A former Moose Lake/Willow River Rebel is now a Big Ten champion.
Sam Coil, a graduate transfer at the University of Wisconsin, placed first in weight throw in day one of the Indoor Track and Field Big Ten Conference championships Friday in Geneva, Ohio.
He beat the second place thrower by over a foot with a throw of 73 feet, 7 1/4 inches.
Coil graduate from Moose Lake in 2017.
