Grand Rapids boys soccer wins big over Duluth Denfeld

A clash in the Lake Superior Conference came to head as Duluth Denfeld boys soccer welcomed an unblemished Grand Rapids squad into their home.

The Thunderhawks entered into the game undefeated with two wins and two ties, while the Hunters went hunting for win number two.

Grand Rapids down 1-nil until Marco Rolle posted one with the header to tie the game.

With under 30 seconds to halftime, Dean Kortekaas centered one to William Shermoen off his left foot and scores giving the Thunderhawks a 2-1 lead at break. They went on to win 4-1, increasing their record to 3-0-2. Thunderhawks will hit the field again on Tuesday, September 12th on the road against North Branch.
