The listening session was held at the Ordean Building, but the next events are scheduled at other various times, neighborhoods, and locations across the city.

This is meant to try and reach as many people as possible so they can bring their questions or concerns directly to the city's staff by making them available at several different times.

"We really enjoy getting out into community centers, into neighborhoods to hear directly from business owners and residents about what matters to them," said Duluth Communication & Policy Officer Phil Jents. "Maybe it's streets or maybe it's something completely different. We hear a lot at these events about any concerns that residents or business owners have."

The focus of Thursday's session was focused on streets and sales taxes that will be used to help fund the improvements, but the session is also open to any other topics such as snow removal.

There are still eight more listening sessions planned through November. The next session with be on Tuesday, September 24 at 5:30 PM at the Portman Community Center. The rest of the City Hall in the City events can be found at this link.
