Cleveland-Cliffs announces that steelworkers have ratified new labor contract

In mining news on this Friday, Cleveland-Cliffs said that steelworkers have ratified a new 47-month labor contract.

This covers Hibbing Taconite and United Taconite, as well as the Cliffs mines in Michigan.

It goes into effect on Saturday.

Cliffs also has a deal on the table with their steel operations and Minorca Mine.

The other company, U.S. Steel, will head back to the bargaining table with their unions next week.
