In just about two weeks, 190 Coffee & Tea will celebrate its first anniversary as a shop in the Lincoln Park Craft District.
“Especially starting things off right after the pandemic, it was a tricky time to navigate opening a shop,” Co-Manager Reice Amundson said. “And we’re just really happy to see it be at a year.”
The name comes from the approximate temperature in Celsius coffee beans are roasted and the approximate temperature at which coffee is brewed.
There are a couple things Amundson and Co-Manager Carol Reinert recommend trying.
“I’m super partial to a tea latte,” Reinert said. “One that we came up with earlier this year is called the ‘Teaquinox.’ It was for the summer equinox.”

It uses Zenith Teawork Babylon tea, oat milk, black pepper, and house-made lavender.
Amundson said there are two winter drink specials: a spiced gingerbread chai with house-made chai simple syrup and a dark brown sugar latte nicknamed the “Cool Yule.”
