Folks in Highland, Wisconsin, recently started a GoFundMe to move a giant ball of twine to a permanent location.

The man who built the ball, James Frank Kotera, died in January. For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we go back to 2006, when WDIO visited “JFK’s” giant ball of twine.

“I’ve had lots and lots and lots of people come here. They just don’t have any words to say. Their eyes come right out of their head,” Kotera said.

In 2006, he estimated it weighed 19,500 pounds.
