The Haunted Ship is back and is expecting a busy year ahead as COVID restrictions are looser compared to last year. The attraction transforms the William A. Irvin into a nightmare.

The Haunted Ship opened Thursday, Oct. 6, and 2022 marks its 29th year of scaring Duluth!

In multiple rooms across the ship, the designers designed the rooms to prey on your senses with clowns, darkness, tight spaces, and more.

Manager Steve Rankila says, “We work really hard on refreshing the haunt. We have something for anyone and everyone on the boat.”

Rankila says this year, they pushed themselves to use almost all of the senses to scare.

Adding to the creep factor, the staff say the ship itself is haunted, creating some extra uneasiness when you walk the dark corridors of the William A. Irvin.
