There’s a festive opportunity to support the local arts scene and students interested in pursuing the arts through Christmas by the Lake.

The event and a CD support the Bluebird Foundation, which showcases local music and supports students in the arts.

“What it really amounts to is getting a bunch of local and regional people to showcase their talents,” Tracy said. “We’ve got people coming from the Range over to Ironwood, Michigan.”

The music will also be available digitally.

The deadline to apply for the grants and scholarships, including the $2,500 Audrey Lundeen Scholarship, is Friday, Nov. 18. The $500 grants can be used on things like lessons, instruments, camps, and more.

The Christmas by the Lake event goes from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at The Board Room in Superior.
