Recipe: Wild Rice Sage Sausage Stuffing

Noah Wilcox, a banker and author of “It’s in the Giving” cookbook, offered up a stuffing swap.

“We’re going to make an alternative to a Thanksgiving stuffing or even a Christmas stuffing. But this is a wild rice and safe stuffing with some toasted pecans. It comes together real nicely, and if you’re looking for a difference between a more traditional bread stuffing, this is really suited nice.”

Wilcox says it can be eaten hot or cold.

The keys are using wild rice stuffing that has been cooked until it fully opens up, toasting but not burning the pecans, and flavoring with fresh herbs.

The stuffing is not in the “It’s in the Giving” cookbook, but Wilcox says you might see it in his next one.
