After three years of online programs, the Duluth Armory’s Music Resource Center will relaunch in-person programming at Sacred Heart Music Center.

The MRC is a resource for students in grades 6-12, offering a drop-in program that includes music lessons, studio space, recording equipment and support, mentoring, and networking.

New Program Director Shawna Weaver is guiding the program in their mission is to inspire young people and, through music, equip them with life skills for the future. “We’re only 1 of 3 music resource centers in the country. There really are few opportunities like this for kids.”

Kids from all different backgrounds and schools come together over the common language of music in a safe and creative environment.

Registration information is available on their website. There’s also a relaunch party on Tuesday March 14th from 4:00-6:00 at Sacred Heart, where we’re promised more information and free pizza.

It’s open to all levels of musical ability and all interests and instruments.

MRC programs will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 – 6 p.m. March 14-May 18 at Sacred Heart Music Center.
