Back to School books and a Teachers Book Fest

Reading may have been a focus for kids over the summer months, but if it’s fallen by the wayside, Jennifer Jubenville, manager of the Bookstore at Fitger’s, has some back to school book recommendations:

  • “Say What, Little Duck?” by Jen Teschendorf
  • “Hush-A-Bye Night: Goodnight Lake Superior” by Thelma Lynne Godin
  • “Everything You Need to Ace Math in One Big Fat Notebook”

And for the teachers, Jubenville suggests “The Invisible Hour” by Alice Hoffman.

The Bookstore at Fitger’s is also hosting a Teachers Book Fest on Friday, Aug. 25. The store will have special discounts, treats, giveaways, and a chance for educators to get free books for their classroom.
