From the North to the South Shore, here are a few events happening Around Town this weekend.

Bayfield Apple Fest

Bayfield Apple Fest is back in all its glory, and it’s marking its 60th year. The carnival returns after being skipped in 2021. The mass band and THE Thunder Bay Pipes & Drums are also back. Apple Festival runs Friday-Sunday with lots of food, vendors, and live music.

Split Rock Stories by Lantern

On Saturday, the Minnesota Historical Society and Split Rock Lighthouse are hosting Stories by Lantern. Guests will hear stories of some of the people behind the lighthouse from a first-person perspective. Tickets cost $10-15. Tours happen between 6:15 and 7:45 p.m.

The Big Tent

Freedom Farms are putting on The Big Tent event Saturday in Duluth’s Hillside. Multiple organizations such as the Family Freedom Center, the American Indian Community Housing Organization, Duluth Aging Support, and others will be there. They will have free winter gear, free groceries, music, and games for kids. They say it’s a way to kick off fall and also prep for winter.
