Around Town – Oct. 28, 2022

Happy Halloweekend! Here are a few suggestions for what’s happening Around Town.

Trick-or-Treating

Two options for trick-or-treating: The Family Freedom Center and Neighborhood Youth Services are inviting kids to the Lake City Lot in Canal Park from 12-4 p.m. Saturday. Or on the west side of town, there’s candy collecting at the American Legion Post 71 from 12-2 p.m.

Superior Spooktacular

Ghosts will float through the streets in Superior on Saturday. The Superior Spooktacular Parade starts at 2 p.m. It runs along 14th Street to Ogden Avenue, then north to Broadway Street.

Ski & Snowboard Swap

No flurries in the forecast this weekend, but winter enthusiasts are getting ready. It’s time for the annual Ski & Snowboard Swap at Spirit Mountain. This is the 51st year of offering used gear at a discount. It’s also a fundraiser for the Team Duluth Ski & Snowboard Club. The swap started Thursday and runs through Sunday at the Spirit Mountain Lower Chalet.
