Seasonal events are the name of the game this weekend Around Town.

Night at the Brewseum

Normally, the Duluth Children’s Museum caters to the kids. But Saturday night, it’s a 21+ takeover. Night at the Brewseum is back. Attendees can sample brews from Blacklist, Hoops, Bent Paddle, Duluth Cider, and more, all while raising money so the kids can keep learning and having fun. General admission tickets cost $30. The VIP version is $50. Night at the Brewseum goes from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

Boo at the Zoo

A bit farther west, Boo at the Zoo is all about the kids. It’s the first of three Saturdays that kids can collect candy, see the zoo animals, eat from food trucks, and shop the boo-tique. It goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lake Superior Zoo, and members get in one hour early at 9 a.m. If you purchase tickets ahead of time, you save a few bucks. Boo at the Zoo also runs Saturday, Oct. 22 and Oct. 29.

Haunted Shack

For some more frightful fun, the Haunted Shack opens Friday in Carlton. This attraction is going on 30 years of scaring people. It runs for nine nights only, plus there is one kid-friendly afternoon next weekend, on Oct. 22. Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics, Chum, and Coats for Kids. Tickets are available at the door.
