From Irish-inspired events to celebrations of spring, there’s a lot going on Around Town.
Spring Carnival and Slush Cup
Saturday is the Spring Carnival and Slush Cup at Giants Ridge in Biwabik. There’s a costume contest, live DJ, and those brave enough can try to make it down the hill and across the pond in the favorite Slush Cup. There’s a retro theme this year, so break out your ’80s and ’90s gear and head to the Ridge.
Shamrock’n Brunch
On another part of the Range, enjoy a Shamrock’n Brunch. It goes from 10 a.m. – noon Saturday at the Grand Rapids Brewing Co. There will be music, an Irish-inspired brunch buffet, and a raffle. It benefits the United Way of 1000 Lakes. It costs $25 for adults and $10 for kids.
Motorhead Madness
And in Duluth, it’s Motorhead Madness. This event runs both Saturday and Sunday at the DECC. Four arenas will be filled with 150 one-of-a-kind street rods, trucks, antique autos, and more. Plus, there are vendors, car designers, and club exhibits. Admission is $16 for adults and $6 for kids.
