The 21st National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is being held Saturday, October 23rd.

On that Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., locations around the country will be offering free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications.

“I want to emphasize too that this is the safest way to dispose of those medications,” said Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul. “If you flush them they can end up in lakes and river and in our water supply. We don’t want that to happen. Instead by taking them to one of these safe disposal locations, you’ll know that they will be safely disposed of.”
