For one of the sweetest of holidays, the University of Minnesota – Duluth Chocolate Club is hosting its annual Valentine’s Day sale. They make white, dark, and milk chocolate and they’ll even get creative by making their own caramel and bringing in their own fruit.

“Every step in our lab uses chemical engineering processes. So it’s a great

teaching place for the school.”

Kate Hoff, Lab Technician, Freshman

The University says chocolate clubs like this one are rare in the United State and UMD’s has attracted attention from all across the country. Money from the sales goes back into buying new beans and other elements for the lab as well.

The Valentine’s sale is still happening on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UMD Engineering Building, Room 112.
