Tech Bytes: Xbox game prices increase, Real ID pushback and Google Photos facial recognition

Get ready to pay more to enjoy Xbox. Microsoft is raising the price on first- party games. Starting in January, full-priced games like Redfall, Starfield, and Forza Motorsport will cost $10 more raising the price to $70.

The Department of Homeland Security has pushed back the Real ID rollout again. Enforcement will not take place until Spring of 2025. The act calling for Real ID forms of identification following 9-11 was created in 2005. It was supposed to go into effect in 2008.

Google Photos is testing a new feature that lets you quickly find people by their face in your Google Photos library. The new search features combines face recognition with traditional Google Lens features that identifies things like clothing and plants.
