Tech Bytes: Meta VR compatibility

A new operating system for Verizon, Meta VR headsets compatibility with other systems, and Tinder's new "Share my Date" feature.

There’s another update for Google Pixel phones. A new operating system is rolling out for Verizon customers with Pixel 7 phones, or newer models, meant to fix problems with missing phone calls and texts. Verizon users can get it by tapping “system update” under settings. People with other carriers will have to wait a few weeks.

Meta is spreading the tech wealth with its VR headsets. The company announced the operating system, called Horizon OS, will work on devices other than the Quest, including upcoming models made by Asus, Lenovo, and Microsoft. An Xbox variant is also on the way.

Tinder is making it easier to share details of your date with family and friends. The new “Share my Date” feature includes the where, when and who you’re going out with. Your family and friend will even get a photo of your match, along with a link to their profile.
