Less news on Facebook and Instagram. Meta is pulling news from the platforms in Canada, because of a new law that forces tech companies to pay news publishers for their content. The law, which Meta opposed for a long time, takes effect in 6 months.

Next, Youtube TV has expanded its multiview feature. Users can now choose up to four streams with news, business and weather content, instead of just sports streams. Viewers will still be limited to choosing from a list of pre-selected streams.

A new app turns your smartphone into a thermometer. Fever phone was created by researchers at the university of Washington. It uses thermistors, which monitor heat within the device, to measure the user’s temperature by tracking the heat exchanged between you and your phone.
