New EV plans for a major oil company. Exxon is reportedly in talks with Tesla and other automakers.. About supplying them with lithium, the chemical in electric-vehicle batteries. Demand for the substance tripled in recent years, as more electric vehicles were sold.

An update to a story yesterday on tech-bytes, the large and bright ‘X’ logo installed on top of the San Francisco headquarters of the company formally known as “Twitter” has been taken down. The city has fined “X” for putting the logo on the roof, without a permit.

Finally, it’s time to say goodbye to the incandescent light bulb. Starting today, retailers can no longer sell them for common household use. You’ll now be able to buy only LED bulbs, which use less energy. They cost more than the old bulbs, but they last up to 50 times longer.
