Tech Bytes: Apple pulls plug on electric car

Apple is pulling the plug on their electric car, more music taken off of TikTok, and a new AI feature to help clean out inboxes.

In today’s Tech Bytes, Apple pulls the plug on its electric car. According to Bloomberg, the tech giant spent billions of dollars over the past decade developing its first car but has now decided to kill the project. Some staffers will be shifted to the company’s artificial intelligence division.

Next, more music is coming off of TikTok. Last month, all the songs in Universal Music Group’s recorded catalog were removed from the social media network. Now, all the songs ‘written’ by the Universal’s ‘publishing’ arm have also come down. It’s all because of a disagreement over royalties.

Finally, a new way to quickly clear your inbox. The email startup “Superhuman” is rolling out a new AI feature to help you instantly reply to your messages. It offers you three potential reply options to choose from. Superhuman says users who tested the feature sent emails twice as fast.
