Worker airlifted after falling from roof in Gilbert

A worker was airlifted for medical care after falling from a roof in Gilbert, according to the Northland FireWire.

The FireWire reports the man was roofing a building when he fell about two stories.

It happened around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon on the 100 block of Broadway Street South.

Virginia Ambulance brought him to the nearby Gilbert ball field so he could be flown to a regional trauma center.

No information has been released on his condition.

The Eveleth and Gilbert fire departments and Minnesota State Patrol also assisted.
