There are many issues important to our local community, but sometimes, it’s hard to get the attention of those at the state level.

Wisconsin’s Secretary of State, Sarah Godlewski, made a trip to Superior for a listen-and-learn session with local elected officials, clerks, and community leaders.

She shared some of her goals for the Badger State, like hitting the ground running with hearing what communities have to say.

“It starts by showing up. I mean, I think too many times politicians in Madison just talk about how they want to support people from their office in Madison. They’re not driving up north and actually sitting down with folks and meeting people and so me being here today is my first step in that commitment to getting the job done,” Godlewski said.

She also talked about office modernization transparency and economic development.
