Winter storm warning now in effect until 1 am (CST) Monday

At 9:54am, on March 11th Saturday, the MN Resident Alert System in Crow Wing County issued a Winter storm warning. Other counties included in the Winter storm warning are St. Louis and Carlton county, and the tribal lands of the Fond du Lac.

There will be heavy snow accumulations of 7 to 12, inches, except 10 to 16 inches for the higher terrains of the North shore, until 1am on Monday. The Winter storm warning advises that travel could be very difficult to impossible.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling (511). Road conditions can also be found at 511mn.org for Minnesota or 511wi.gov for Wisconsin.
