The 31st annual Walk for Animals fundraiser was held at Bayfront Park, Saturday, June 3rd, 9AM-12PM. The money raised go towards Animal Allies efforts to help homeless pets. These efforts range from providing food, shelter and medical treatment to the animals in need.

Nicole Facciotto, talked more about the event. “So the Walk for Animals is one of our biggest fundraisers. We do it every year, and it’s so important to us because it’s the one time that we really get to see so many members of our community here together supporting us and tons of other animal friendly businesses.” Facciotto said. “It’s just a really great community event and we love seeing everyone and are so happy to see such a big turnout this year.”

Animal Allies have raised over $23,000 so far, and their goal for this year is $50,000. Some of the fun activities at the Walk for Animals fundraiser were Food Trucks, balloon twisting, a 360 photo booth, ball drop, a caricature artist, vendors and more. “There’s so many resources available at this event from everything from vet offices, to trainers, to groomers, so many things and so many resources available. So it’s definitely worth stopping by even if you don’t have a furry friend to bring it in.” Facciotto said. “I’d say we have at least a couple hundred people here this year. The weather is awesome. After those few years off with COVID, it just it feels so good to be back and have everyone together.”
